Bio

Bruce has been North Dakota's "go-to guy" for entrepreneurship, innovation, and capital investing since he launched the Center in 1984. The Center has been actively involved in over 440 entrepreneurial ventures and product launches, operates two tech incubators, and has helped form four angel funds across north Dakota. He has also championed the formation of venture funds in North Dakota, Beginning Entrepreneur Loan Program, the 45% state seed capital tax credit, the 25% federal Investment tax credit (HR 578),- vital infrastructure for private investment to flourish. The Center has received six (6) national awards for excellence in entrepreneurship and innovation. In 2007, UND was named the 9th best school for entrepreneurs out of 900 (top 1%) nationwide by Princeton Review and Entrepreneur magazine. The incubators received the "Soft Landings International Incubator" designation from NBIA in 2006, one of 6 worldwide.

Bio

In Sept. 2006 Tom joined the Center for Innovation Foundation to help leverage the support of UND Alumni, friends and successful entrepreneurs from around the world. In addition to his work at the Center, Tom is himself a successful entrepreneur. He owns and operates manufacturing, property development and consulting businesses. Tom is the managing member of the Hilton Garden Inn in the UND Tech Park and chairs the Valley Angel Fund.

Lee Groeschl

Bio

As a consultant, Lee works with entrepreneurs and early stage companies to secure debt and equity financing. Lee also has experience in marketing and business plan development, and coordinates Angel investing and the Power of Angel Investing Seminars. In 2007, Lee was designated as the North Dakota Field Agent for RAIN Source Capital to syndicate deal flow throughout the state and assist in the development of pooled angel funds. Lee has been with the Center since April, 2006 and is currently in the MBA program at the University of North Dakota.
